General Aviation and Business Aviation

All General Aviation and Business Aviation flights with MTOM of 4,000 kg and above operating to/from Bratislava/M. R. Štefánik Airport are required to request airport slots for both arrival and departure.

General Rules

Slot requests must be submitted to [email protected] formatted as an IATA GCR message as defined in Appendix K of IATA Standard Schedules Information Manual (SSIM). Other slot request formats will not be accepted

Aircraft operators of business aviation cargo flights must also adhere to this procedure. Operators of scheduled and charter cargo flights must submit their slot requests to [email protected].

New slot requests can be submitted no earlier than 28 days before the operation, always at least 2 hours in advance.

Re-clearing of airport slots following an operational delay is not required if the delay is not expected to exceed 2 hours.

Confirmed slots that are no longer required must be cancelled as soon as possible.

Airport Slot IDs are not issued. Slot information is not required to be included in the flight plan (FPL).

Slot requests are handled 24/7 by the Operations Control Centre.

Exemptions

Training flights of approved Flight Training Organizations (FTO) are exempt from the above-mentioned provisions.
