General Aviation and Business Aviation
All General Aviation and Business Aviation flights with MTOM of 4000 kg and above scheduled to operate at Bratislava/M. R. Štefánik airport are obliged to request an airport slot for landing and take-off from the Operations Control Centre.
All aircraft operators of General Aviation and Business Aviation flights to/from Bratislava/M. R. Štefánik airport must send their slot requests in writing to email@example.com using standard IATA GCR message defined in the current version of IATA Standard Schedules Information Manual, appendix K. Other slot request formats will not be accepted.
Aircraft operators of Business Aviation Cargo flights shall also adhere to this procedure. Aircraft operators of scheduled cargo flights and charter cargo flights shall send their slot requests to firstname.lastname@example.org only.
New slot requests can be filed earliest 28 days before the operation, latest 2 hours before STA/STD at Bratislava/M. R. Štefánik airport. Only ad hoc slots can be requested, series of slots will not be accepted.
Requests for slot changes must be submitted in advance, up to cleared STA/STD time. Re-clearing airport slots following operational delay is not required if delay time is not expected to exceed 120 minutes.
Slots which are confirmed but not needed must be cancelled as soon as possible.
For the time being, no Airport Slot ID is issued by the Operations Control Centre department. No slot information is needed to be put in the FPL.
Slot requests will be handled H24 by the Operations Control Centre.
Training flights of approved flight training organizations (FTO) are exempted from the above mentioned provisions.
