Assistance services
Reduced mobility passengers have the right to free assistance services whilst passing through the airport, as these services are provided for immobile passengers in accordance with the EP and EC Regulation No. 1107/2006. The passenger is obliged to request assistance service at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure of the airline they are travelling with or the travel operator/agency, who they bought their ticket from.
All Bratislava airport terminals are disability friendly and persons with reduced mobility and disability are allowed to drive up to in front of the terminal building after presenting their disability badge. The contact point for calling assistance is located at the entrance to the Departures terminal and is clearly signposted with a pictogram.
Immobile passengers are offered the assistance with all formalities at the airport by the airlines’ handling partners, Airport Bratislava is one of the partners
General rules of special assistance:
- the passenger is supposed to request the special assistance at least 48 hours prior to the planned departure from his carrier or travel agent
- upon his arrival at the airport, the passenger is supposed to come to the special assistance contact point, which is situated right at the main entrance into the departures hall
- the passenger calls for assistance service to inform of his arrival
- the dedicated worker picks up the passenger and assists him/her with all procedures at the airport up to the boarding of the aircraft.

Use of alternative transportation to the Airport
There is a public transport bus to M. R. Štefánik Airport no. 61 in the direction from the main railway station.
