– M. R. Stefanik airport in Bratislava processed a total of 212,558 travellers, both inbound and outbound, in the first quarter of this year. In March alone the Bratislava airport handled 80,015 passengers, which is an increase of 36 percent year-on-year.

The recovery rate in terms of passenger numbers in relation to 2019 reached 57 percent in March. A total of 4,599 landings and take-offs took place at the facility from January to March 2023. The figure stood at 1,811 in March alone.

The most popular destinations in terms of regular routes in March included London, Milan and Dublin. These were followed by Manchester and Skopje. Exotic destinations like Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Salalah in Oman and Zanzibar in Tanzania dominated charter flights. The highest numbers of passengers flew with Ryanair, Wizz Air and Smartwings in March.
