The line will be launched on March 28, 2023. It will be operated by Airbus A320-214 and modern Airbus A320 neo aircraft. On the first regular flight to Marsa Alam, 177 seats were sold out of the total capacity of 179 seats. Throughout the year, Air Cairo continues to operate regular flights to Hurghada as well.

The Egyptian company Air Cairo plans to continuously expand to other destinations: „Air Cairo currently flies to more than 40 cities around the world and part of our strategy is to constantly expand our offer. “

„We consider Egypt to be a traditional holiday destination that still maintains its popularity at the forefront. We believe that those who like the Red Sea or diving will welcome a direct route to Marsa Alam, which will complement the already existing connection to Hurghada,“ adds the chairman of the board and CEO of Bratislava Airport, Ing. Dušan Keketi.

The resort of Marsa Alam lies approximately 250 km south of Hurghada where the Arabian Desert meets the Red Sea. The resort is ideal for lovers of windsurfing and diving. The coral reefs in this area offer abundant marine life. Those who want to observe dolphins should visit, for example, the Shaab Samadai lagoon (in translation Home of Dolphins) or the Sataya reef. The flight to Marsa Alam takes approximately 4 and a half hours. Tickets can be purchased on the website: Air Cairo.

In addition to this regular route, there will be regular charter flights to Marsa Matruh, too. It will start flying from June 2023. The resort is located approximately 240 km from the city of Alexandria and is also called the Egyptian Caribbean because of its turquoise beaches and white sand. With Air Cairo, you can comfortably reach Marsa Matruh from Bratislava in less than 3 hours by flight.
