“Not only did we handle more than 510,000 passengers in June for the first time ever, but we also expect monthly passenger volumes to exceed half a million throughout both July and August. Furthermore, on 3 July we welcomed our two-millionth passenger of the year, confirming that Bratislava Airport is on track to achieve a new all-time annual record of more than four million passengers in 2026,” said Dušan Novota, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of M. “Driven by consistent triple-digit year-on-year passenger growth each month, Bratislava Airport is currently Europe’s fastest-growing medium-sized airport, according to the latest traffic statistics published by ACI EUROPE,” he added.
During the first six months of 2026, Bratislava Airport handled 1,948,630 passengers, representing a 123% year-on-year increase. Passenger traffic approached the two-million mark by the end of June, with the milestone being reached on 3 July.
