Almost 320,000 passengers handled in August at the M. R. Štefánik airport
01. 10. 2024 – In August, M. R. Štefánik airport handled a total of 319,906 passengers at departures and arrivals, which is a three percent increase compared to last August. This is also the third-highest number of passengers handled in August in the airport's history.
The most passengers in August departed from Bratislava Airport to Antalya in Turkey, Larnaca in Cyprus, Burgas in Bulgaria, Hurghada in Egypt, and the Greek island of Crete, with arrivals from these destinations to Bratislava as well.
The airport also recorded 3,426 departures and landings in the eighth month of the year, which is a 4 percent increase in aircraft movements compared to August last year.
From the beginning of the year until the end of August, M. R. Štefánik Airport handled a total of 1,380,689 passengers on arrivals and departures, which is a 7 percent increase compared to the first eight months of 2023. During the same period, there were 19,416 flights, takeoffs, and landings.

Use of alternative transportation to the Airport
