Transport from the airport
- Bus / shuttle bus – transport between Tirana International Airport and the city centre is provided by the Tirana Airport – Tirana bus line, operated by LU-NA SHPK. The service operates 24 hours a day, with departures every hour in both directions. The bus runs between the airport and the centre of Tirana and is a practical option for passengers travelling into the city.
- Taxi / private transport – taxi services are available directly at the airport. The journey to the centre of Tirana takes approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic. When taking a taxi, it is recommended to use official taxi services or check the price in advance.
- Transfer / shuttle – you can also use a pre-booked private transfer directly to your hotel or chosen location. This option is convenient especially when arriving later, travelling with larger luggage or in a larger group.
- Car rental – you can rent a car directly at the airport. This is a suitable option if you plan trips outside Tirana, for example to the Adriatic Sea, the city of Durrës, Bovilla Lake, Berat or other parts of Albania.

Tirana is known for its colourful architecture – many buildings were repainted in bright colours and patterns after 2000 to make the city feel livelier and more modern. When visiting, it is worth taking the Dajti Ekspres cable car above the city for a completely different view of Tirana and the surrounding mountains.
