Rhodes is one of the most popular Greek islands in the Aegean Sea, known for its beautiful beaches, rich history, sunny weather and pleasant holiday atmosphere. Flights from Bratislava
From M. R. Štefánik Airport, you can use a direct air connection to the Greek island of Rhodes, to Rhodes International Airport. Regular flights from Bratislava are operated by Smartwings, and the flight takes approximately 3 and a half hours.

Transport from the airport
- Bus – buses operate from Rhodes Airport to the capital city of Rhodes several times a day. The bus stop is located approximately 300 metres from the terminal, and the journey to the city takes approximately 40 minutes. A one-way ticket costs around €2.50.
- Buses around the island – public transport on Rhodes is operated by RODA and KTEL. RODA mainly serves the western part of the island, including the airport, Ixia and Ialyssos, while KTEL operates towards the east and south of the island, for example to Faliraki, Lindos and other popular resorts.
- Taxi / private transport – taxis and private transfers are available directly at the airport and are a convenient option when travelling to your hotel, especially when arriving later or with larger luggage. The journey to Rhodes Town takes approximately 25–30 minutes, depending on traffic.
- Transfer / shuttle – for holiday stays, you can also use hotel or private transfers to resorts across the island. This option is practical especially when travelling to more distant areas, such as Lindos, Faliraki or Kiotari.
- Car rental – you can rent a car directly at the airport. This is an ideal solution if you want to explore beaches, historic landmarks, mountain villages and less accessible parts of the island during your stay.

- Rhodes Old Town – a UNESCO-listed medieval centre with stone streets, city walls and a historic atmosphere.

Rhodes is also nicknamed the “Island of the Sun” because it is one of the sunniest Greek islands. The famous Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood here.
