Paphos

Paphos is a popular seaside city on the southwestern coast of Cyprus, known for its beautiful beaches, pleasant Mediterranean atmosphere and rich history. Flights from Bratislava

You can fly to Paphos with direct Ryanair flights from Bratislava. The route operates once a week, every Monday. Paphos Airport is located approximately 7 km from the resort of the same name, and the flight from Bratislava takes approximately 3 hours.

Transport from the airport

  • Bus – bus lines operate from Paphos Airport to the city of Paphos and other parts of the region. Public transport is an affordable option for travellers heading to the centre or hotel areas.
  • Taxi / private transport – a convenient way to travel directly from the airport to your hotel or chosen location. The journey to Paphos takes approximately 15–25 minutes, depending on the destination area and traffic.
  • Transfer / shuttle – private or shared transfers are also available and are practical especially when travelling to hotel resorts or with larger luggage.
  • Car rental – you can rent a car directly at the airport. This is a suitable option if you plan trips around Cyprus, for example to Aphrodite’s Rock, the Troodos Mountains or beaches around Paphos.

According to Greek mythology, Paphos is connected with the birth of the goddess Aphrodite. Near the city, you will find Aphrodite’s Rock, one of the most famous places in Cyprus. When travelling around the area, it is worth renting a car, especially if you want to visit beaches, the Troodos Mountains or the Akamas Peninsula.
