- Train – Manchester Airport has its own railway station directly by the terminals. Trains run to the city centre, to Manchester Piccadilly station, and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
- Metrolink tram – the Metrolink tram also operates from the airport, connecting it with several parts of the city and the Greater Manchester region. It is especially practical when travelling outside the city centre.
- Bus – bus services operate from the airport to Manchester city centre and other parts of the city. Some bus connections also run 24 hours a day.
- Taxi / private transport – taxis and private transport providers are available directly at the airport. The journey to the centre of Manchester takes approximately 25–35 minutes, depending on traffic.
- Car rental – you can rent a car directly at the airport. This is a practical option if you plan trips to the surrounding area, such as the Peak District, Liverpool or other cities in northern England.
