Burgas is a popular seaside city on the southeastern coast of Bulgaria, located by the Black Sea. You can fly from Bratislava to Burgas with direct flights to Burgas Airport, with the airport code BOJ. The direct air connection between Bratislava and Burgas is operated by Ryanair during the summer season, with flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Transport from the airport

• Bus – from Burgas Airport, you can reach the city centre by bus line 15. The bus connects the airport with the central bus station in Burgas, where you can continue by other connections to resorts north and south of the city. The journey to the centre takes approximately 15–30 minutes, depending on the destination stop and traffic.
• Bus connections to resorts – there are also connections near the airport towards popular seaside destinations such as Pomorie, Nessebar, Ravda and Sunny Beach. This is a practical option if you use Burgas as a gateway to a holiday by the Black Sea.
• Taxi / private transport – taxi services are available directly at the terminal. The journey by car to the centre of Burgas takes approximately 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic. When travelling to more distant resorts, it is advisable to agree on the price in advance or use a pre-booked transfer.
• Transfer / shuttle – you can also use a private or hotel transfer directly to your accommodation. This option is convenient especially when travelling with larger luggage, children or to resorts outside Burgas.
• Car rental – you can rent a car directly at the airport. This is a suitable option if you plan to explore the Bulgarian coast, historic towns, nature reserves or smaller beaches outside the main resorts.
