Transport from the airport

  • Train / Airport Express – Berlin Brandenburg Airport is very well connected to the city centre by rail. The railway station is located directly beneath Terminal 1, with Airport Express trains, regional trains and S-Bahn city trains running towards central Berlin. The journey to the centre takes approximately 20 to 35 minutes, depending on the destination station.
  • S-Bahn – S-Bahn lines also run from the airport and connect it with various parts of Berlin. This is a practical option especially when travelling to districts outside the very centre.
  • Bus – bus and express bus lines also operate from the airport, for example towards Rudow station, where you can transfer to the metro. The bus is a suitable alternative when travelling to specific parts of the city or when combining it with other public transport.
  • Taxi / private transport – taxi services and private transport providers are available directly at the airport. The journey by car to the centre of Berlin takes approximately 35 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic and the final destination.
  • Car rental – you can rent a car directly at the airport. This is a suitable option if you plan trips outside Berlin, for example to Potsdam, Brandenburg or other cities in Germany.

When visiting Berlin, you should definitely not miss these places and experiences:
