– Wizz Air, the leading airline in Slovakia is adding more frequencies to its first domestic flight in the country between Bratislava and Kosice in response to strong consumer demand.

From 21 March 2026 the airline will increase its weekly flights on the popular route from 9 to 13 times per week. The route will operate with twice a day including a morning and an evening flight on all days of the week except for Wednesday.

Connecting Bratislava and Košice by air significantly shortens travel time between western and eastern Slovakia, supporting business, family visits and weekend trips in both directions. The high-frequency schedule is designed to offer flexibility for day-return travel as well as convenient connections across the Wizz Air network. The new link helps residents manage real-life plans in a single day, while opening easy access to the citys characterful centre and year-round cultural events like the Košice City Days.

Currently, Wizz Air offers 35 routes to 34 destinations in 22 countries from Slovakia. In 2025, the airline operated over 2000 flights to and from the country, carrying almost half a million passengers, with a flight completion rate of 99.78 percent, one of the highest in the industry.
