Ryanair's 15 millionth passenger has crossed the gates of Bratislava Airport
08. 01. 2024 – BRATISLAVA - The 15-millionth passenger of the largest low-cost airline in Europe, Ryanair, passed through the gates of M. R. Štefánik Airport today. The anniversary passenger was Monika Šírová, who had purchased a ticket on the Bratislava - Thessaloniki/Thessaloniki route with a scheduled departure at 14.55, operated by the Irish airline.
Jubilee passenger Monika received 2 open tickets, free entry to the airport Mastercard Caproni Lounge for two people, which can be used on the next departure, and other gift attention from the Ryanair representative and the management of M. R. Štefánik Airport. Monika, who became the 15 millionth passenger to travel on the Irish airline in Bratislava, travelled to Greece with her two children.
Alicja Wojcik Golebiowska, Country Manager for Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltics, said, "As Europe's largest airline, Ryanair is delighted to be able to carry 15 million passengers through Bratislava Airport after almost 20 years of operations. In the meantime, we have already launched summer season ticket sales, with 21 scheduled routes from Bratislava, including to Corfu, Edinburgh, Kaunas and Lanzarote. This summer schedule is supported by Ryanair's long-term investment, which is basing 2 aircraft at Bratislava Airport. At the same time, Ryanair will start offering bargain fares from Bratislava to summer destinations from April."

Ryanair has been operating flights from M. R. Štefánik Airport since 2005, when the company entered the market with 3 regular routes: London - Stansted, Milan - Bergamo and Frankfurt - Hahn. In the entire history of the Irish company's operations at Bratislava Airport, it has operated a total of 50 scheduled flights. In 2023, the company operated a total of 23 scheduled routes.
