Most Passengers in October Departed to London and Milan

11. 11. 2024 – In October, M. R. Štefánik Airport handled over 133,000 passengers on arrivals and departures combined. The top destinations for passengers departing from Bratislava in the tenth month of the year were London (Stansted and Luton airports), Milan, Hurghada, Malta, and Dublin.

"From the beginning of January to the end of October, M. R. Štefánik Airport handled 1,737,711 passengers on arrivals and departures, a 6 percent increase compared to the same period last year. In October alone, 133,422 departing and arriving passengers passed through the airport," specified Dušan Novota, CEO and Chairman of the Board of M. R. Štefánik Airport.

The October operational result is 3 percent higher compared to last October. Last month, there were 2,260 aircraft movements, meaning take-offs and landings, a 9 percent increase compared to October 2023.

In the first ten months of the year, the airport has already managed 24,655 departures and arrivals, representing a 6 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
