“Cuba is a new addition to our range of exotic destinations offered to clients departing from Bratislava during the winter season. We launched the first flights to the Dominican Republic at the end of October, to Vietnam in November, and during the Christmas and New Year period, we are expanding our offer with direct flights from Bratislava to Cuba,” said Marcel Siekel, Director of the travel agency DER Touristik SK.

Passengers were transported to Holguín by Airbus A330, with a capacity of 285 seats, including 30 in business class. A complete 10-day holiday package can be booked starting at €999 per person, including airfare, accommodation, and other services.

Holguín is located in the eastern part of Cuba, known for its stable and warm weather. It serves as an ideal base for visiting Santiago de Cuba, the second-largest city in Cuba, or Baracoa, the oldest city in the country. Nature lovers will appreciate hiking trails in the Sierra de Nipe mountains and the beautiful beaches bathed by turquoise waters.

“This year, the range of exotic winter vacations departing from Bratislava is historically the widest – flights are available to as many as 12 exotic countries. We are pleased that the travel agencies Fischer and Kartágo, part of the Der Touristik group, have included direct flights from Bratislava to Cuba in their offerings, further broadening the options for Slovak holidaymakers,” said Dušan Novota, Director of M. R. Štefánik Airport.
