Dreamliner to Fly Weekly to Phuket Until Mid-March
08. 11. 2024 – The popular Thai island of Phuket is now directly accessible from Bratislava. A long-haul flight launched from Bratislava's M. R. Štefánik Airport on the night of November 7-8, transporting travelers to this popular destination throughout the winter season until mid-March.
The direct air connection from Bratislava to Thailand was initiated by Čedok Travel Agency in cooperation with the airline Neos. Passengers will fly to Southeast Asia aboard a modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner with a capacity of up to 355 passengers, with four destination options to choose from: Phuket, Khao Lak, Krabi, and Koh Yao Yai.
“The first flights from Bratislava's M. R. Štefánik Airport to the Thai island of Phuket are fully booked. We are pleased to see growing interest in direct flights for additional winter dates, as well as offering passengers easy, convenient access to exotic destinations without layovers,” said Juraj Sliacky, Čedok’s Country Manager for Slovakia.
“For the first time in M. R. Štefánik Airport’s history, clients of the travel agency can fly directly from Bratislava to Thailand, without any stopovers. We are delighted to have created conditions, in cooperation with the Civil Aviation Authority, for take-offs and landings of Category E aircraft at Bratislava Airport. This allows Čedok to offer its clients holidays in exotic destinations like Mauritius and Phuket, Thailand, aboard the comfortable Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner,” summarized Dušan Novota, CEO and Chairman of the Board of M. R. Štefánik Airport.
Italian airline Neos is deploying its Boeing 787 Dreamliner with a capacity of up to 355 passengers on charter flights from Bratislava to Thailand. The Business Light class offers more comfortable seating, enhanced catering, and beverages for an additional fee, with a baggage allowance of up to 30 kilograms per passenger. Economy class includes in-flight refreshments and a baggage allowance of up to 20 kilograms. Each seat is equipped with a touch screen and USB port, and parents can pre-book a baby cot for children under two years old.

There is a public transport bus to M. R. Štefánik Airport no. 61 in the direction from the main railway station.
