– All persons who arrive to Slovakia by airplane are obliged to fill in the registration form: Public Health Passenger Locator Form and to obey all epidemiological measures as ordered by the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic.

In accordance with the Measure of the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic all persons who enter the territory of the Slovak Republic from1 September 2020  7:00 a.m. and who visited the EU “high risk” country  and didn´t visit the non-EU “high risk” country during the previous 14 days, are ordered to remain in home isolation (self-isolation) until they receive the negative RT-PCR test result for COVID-19 (if the person does not have a place of residence in the Slovak Republic, the isolation in a hotel or an accommodation facility is acceptable.) or  in case of an asymptomatic course of isolation in home environment may leave home isolation by completing its 10th day. During the period of self-isolation, this isolation is also ordered to persons living in a common household with the isolated person.

 

All persons who enter the territory of the Slovak Republic from 1 September 2020 and who visited the non-EU “high risk” country during the previous 14 days, are ordered to remain in home isolation (self-isolation) until they receive the negative RT-PCR test result for COVID-19 (if the person does not have a place of residence in the Slovak Republic, the isolation in a hotel or an accommodation facility is acceptable.) During the period of self-isolation, this isolation is also ordered to persons living in a common household with the isolated person.


 
This person is obliged to contact the competent Regional Public Health Authority (by phone or electronically) and to undergo the laboratory diagnosis of COVID-19 not earlier than on the fifth day of self-isolation. The testing is not obligatory for children under 3 years of age, unless the regional Public Health Authority of the General Practitioner - Paediatrician does not decide otherwise.

 

In order to contact the regional Public Health Authority the person may also fill in the form providing the contact information (e.g. personal data, telephone number, address of the self-isolation). On the basis of this information the Public Health Authority will arrange a COVID-19 test.  

 
 
List of “low-risk countries and territories ” from the epidemiological point of view in relation to COVID-19

Foreigners (including EU citizens) who have visited a country not listed as a “low-risk country” (except for the Slovak Republic) within the period of last 14 days, may enter to the Slovak Republic through the internal borders of the Slovak Republic with the Czech Republic, Republic of Austria, Republic of Poland and Hungary, as well as air borders (border crossing points located at the airports on the territory of the Slovak Republic) provided that they comply with the quarantine measures of the Public Health Authority (they remain in self-isolation until they receive the negative RT-PCR test result for COVID-19 done in the Slovak Republic). The categories of persons exempted from the quarantine measures are listed under points 4 to 8 of the Measure of the Public Health Authority.
 
Arrival to the Slovak Republic through the external border is possible for the following categories of foreign nationals:
 
 
a) Third country nationals who are relatives of persons with the permanent or temporary residence in the Slovak Republic or relatives of the Slovak citizens, i.e. husbands/wives, minor children, parents of a minor child entering the Slovak Republic Minor children, husbands/wives do not have to travel together with the foreign national; their family relationship shall be demonstrated by presenting, for example, a birth certificate or marriage certificate (Should a foreign national not carry the original, a standard copy of the document shall suffice.). If the document exists only in a foreign language, the foreign national shall provide for its translation (a non-official translation is enough). When undergoing the check, the foreign national should present the original in the foreign language and its translation.
 
 
b) Third country nationals who have a valid residence in the territory of the Slovak Republic, pursuant to Act No. 404/2011 on the Residence of Foreign Nationals, as amended, and who present themselves with a valid residency permit, a residence ID and a statement confirming that their residency has been registered, or who are holders of the national visa issued by the diplomatic mission of the Slovak Republic.
 
 
c) Persons with the residence in Australia, China, Cyprus, Ireland, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand and United Kingdom. The residence in one of these countries may be demonstrated by presenting a travel document, a residence permit or at  least two other documents (e.g. confirmation of health insurance, lease contract, work contract, confirmation of employment,  title of deed etc.).
 
d)  Foreign nationals who belong to one of the categories defined in points 4 to 8 of the  Measure of the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic in the endangerment to the public health in the wording of its later amendments

 

e) citizens of EU/EEA countries transiting through the Slovak Republic, on condition that the transit is geographically justified.​

 

All persons who enter the territory of the Slovak Republic through the state border between the Slovak Republic and Ukraine are obliged to present a confirmation of registration on the website http://korona.gov.sk/ehranica when entering the territory of the Slovak Republic. During their stay on the territory of the Slovak Republic the third country nationals (citizens of countries which are not member states of the European Union) are obliged to be able to present the confirmation of registration to the members of the Police Force of the Slovak Republic.

Please note that in some cases, the exemption form the quarantine measures  may be subject to the consent of the respective ministry or the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic, as stipulated in the Measure of the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic.
