Čedok offers flights from Bratislava to Madeira, Phuket, and Mauritius in W24
05. 09. 2024 – This year's summer season is not yet over, but sales are already starting for the next one in 2025. Čedok has prepared over 15 destinations for Bratislava Airport with new trips planned, for example, to the Greek islands of Zakynthos and Thassos with flights to Kavala Airport.
Slovak tourists will be able to visit all their favorite summer destinations as well as go on educational trips. Traditionally, the most flights will be to Turkey, Greece, and Bulgaria, with Egypt belonging among the busiest countries as well. The destination showing the greatest rise in popularity among Slovak tourists in the last two seasons is the county of Albania. Čedok plans the largest expansion in two years since returning to Slovakia. Additionally, the travel agency is also preparing novelties for autumn and winter in Bratislava. Direct flights to Madeira will start at the end of September, long-haul flights to the Thai island Phuket or Mauritius will commence a month later, with the popular Zanzibar also remaining in the offer.
“We want to give Slovak tourists the opportunity to plan ahead, therefore we are already launching the sale of trips for the next summer season. For summer 2025, we have increased capacities in Slovakia and prepared more departures from Bratislava. New departures will include flights from Bratislava to Zakynthos or to Greek Kavala, which serves as the airport for the island of Thassos. This winter we are already strengthening our presence at Bratislava Airport – direct flights to Madeira, Portugal, will begin with the first departure on September 24, and flights to exotic destinations will start on October 30. In Bratislava, Čedok will introduce the long-haul Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with a business class on board, which will fly Slovaks to Thailand and Mauritius,” announced Juraj Sliacky, Country Manager of Čedok for Slovakia.
For the upcoming winter, Čedok plans flights from Bratislava to exotic destinations. The travel agency will collaborate with the Italian airline Neos, which will deploy the modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with three types of seats on charter flights. “We have managed to establish cooperation with the airline Neos for the winter, with which our clients from Bratislava will fly. For the first time, we will bring connections to Thai Phuket and Mauritius to Slovakia,” added Juraj Sliacky on behalf of Čedok. These new offerings will launch during the winter flight schedule. The first arrival of the long-haul aircraft in Bratislava and the subsequent departure to the African island Mauritius is planned for October 30 by the oldest travel agency on the market. In collaboration with Smartwings, Zanzibar will also remain in the offer. Čedok is preparing additional long-haul destinations on various carriers' regular routes, with the inclusion of departures from other nearby airports.
“At Bratislava Airport, we are observing a new trend this year in how travel agencies plan flights – extending the season for holiday destinations from mid-May with the first flights to Turkey until the end of September and October, when travelers can also take advantage of direct flights from Bratislava to the Portuguese island of Madeira for the very first time,” added the General Director and Chairman of the Board of M. R. Štefánik Airport, Dušan Novota. “At the same time, we have created conditions for travel agencies to operate long-haul flights to exotic destinations during the winter season. Thanks to this, we will achieve for the first time in history departures from M. R. Štefánik Airport with the Boeing 787-9, with a capacity of up to 355 seats and a business class,” the airport's General Director added.
Next summer will also include departures to traditional seaside holiday destinations, such as Turkey, which will receive the majority of Slovak flights, as well as Bulgaria, Greece, and the Tunisian Djerba. Čedok plans to operate direct flights from Bratislava to Albania again in 2025, which is once more a rising star among all destinations. From Slovakia’s main airport, Slovaks will travel again to the resort Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean Sea, known as the Egyptian Caribbean. This year's novelties will continue to be available from Bratislava in 2025 as well, most notably the direct flights to Madeira, Portugal. The connection to the island of eternal spring will launch this year on September 24, and the flight time to Funchal will be approximately four and a half hours.
Pre-sales for holidays are mainly purchased by families with children, tourists with specific departure dates, or loyal customers who wish to book their favorite or best-selling hotel. Regarding booking stays for the next summer season, Čedok has also prepared a change in conditions: customers will now be asked to pay a low deposit of 5% of the trip price, and the second payment must be made no later than 30 days before departure. First minute offers will allow interested parties to save on accommodation thanks to lower hotel rates and additionally take advantage of other benefits, such as stays for up to three children free of charge.
Trips are available for sale on the Čedok website www.cedok.sk, at Čedok branches in Slovakia, and through a wide network of sellers.
