08. 07. 2026 – Bratislava Airport has unveiled a range of new passenger services, retail concepts and operational enhancements ahead of the busy summer travel season, reinforcing its commitment to delivering a smoother, more comfortable and more efficient airport experience.

Among the latest additions are a new partnership with ride-hailing platform Bolt, expanded food and beverage options, new retail outlets and upgraded passenger facilities. The airport has also introduced a number of operational improvements, including faster baggage processing, expanded Fast Track availability, enhanced border control capacity and upgraded airport infrastructure.
Together, these initiatives are designed to improve passenger comfort while supporting the continued growth in traffic at Slovakia's largest international airport.
BOLT Ride-Hailing Service and New Bolt TapBox Kiosk
Bratislava Airport has partnered with Bolt to provide passengers with a faster and more convenient way to travel to and from the airport.
Dedicated Bolt pick-up bays are now available immediately outside both the Arrivals and Departures terminals. Passengers can book their ride through the Bolt mobile application or via the new Bolt TapBox self-service kiosk located in the Arrivals Hall.
The kiosk enables passengers to book and pay for their journey without a smartphone, mobile data or the Bolt application. Travellers simply enter their destination, choose their preferred vehicle category and pay by card. The final fare is displayed before the booking is confirmed, ensuring complete price transparency.
After booking, passengers receive both an SMS confirmation and a printed receipt containing vehicle details and a real-time tracking link. Journey prices are identical to those offered through the Bolt mobile application.

Trolleybus Line 61 now operates at 6–7 minute intervals during peak hours.
Airport Preparations for the Summer Season
Ahead of the summer season, Bratislava Airport recruited dozens of new employees and up to 200 seasonal staff members to support passenger processing, baggage handling and security screening.
Extensive maintenance works were completed on runways and taxiways, while the terminal's glazed façade was professionally cleaned.
The airport also expanded its fleet of ground support equipment with additional passenger boarding stairs and Ground Power Units (GPUs) to support increased aircraft movements.
Passenger processing has been enhanced through additional electronic boarding pass readers at the security screening checkpoint and the expansion of departure border control facilities from four to six inspection booths.
The minimum age for using Automated Border Control (ABC) gates on arrival has been lowered to 16 years for eligible EU, EEA and Swiss citizens holding biometric passports.
