Bratislava Airport handled almost 500 thousand passengers in 5 months

19. 06. 2024 – From January to the end of May 2024, M. R. Štefánik Airport handled a total of 487,094 passengers on departures and arrivals. That is an 8 percent increase compared to the same period last year, when 452,647 persons were handled.

In May, the airport handled 128,677 passengers in total – 4 percent more than in May 2023.

In the first five months of the year, the highest number of passengers flew to and from London, Milan, North Macedonia's Skopje, Dublin, Malta and Rome.

A total of 9,222 flights were carried out at Bratislava Airport from the beginning of the year until the end of May. This was a 6 percent increase in aircraft movements compared to last year, when 8,718 total departures and landings were recorded during the same period.

In May, the Bratislava airport recorded 2,231 flights – take-offs and landings - which is 4 percent more than last May.
