Dubai is famous for several things – there is the tallest building in the world with the highest view and the fastest elevator, the largest man-made island, the largest playing and dancing fountain in the world, the largest shopping centre or the most expensive 7-star hotel. It is a combination of luxurious skyscrapers, sandy beaches, religious mosques, but also markets with spices, gold and clothes.

Flights from Bratislava

Transportation from the airport to the city centre

 From Terminal 2, where you will arrive, feel free to use the taxi service to the city centre. Since the airport is only 9 km from the centre and Emirati taxi services have a uniform price and taxi meters are always on, it is the most convenient way of transport.

„Must see“ in Dubai

Your first steps in Dubai will undoubtedly go to the beach or to the attractions. If you choose the second option, one of the first choices will be a visit to the tallest building in the world - Burj Khalifa. The observation deck is located on the 124th floor and you have a great view of the next attraction - the largest light dancing fountain. You can watch the spectacular music and light show of the fountains every half hour after dark, from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You can also watch it from the balcony of the largest shopping centre in the world - Dubai Mall. You can even find an aquarium, a waterfall, or an ice rink there. The attraction of another popular shopping centre - Mall of Emirates - is the ski slope right in the middle of the shopping centre. If you happen to not have ski equipment with you when shopping, that's okay, they will rent it on the spot.

After touring the luxurious skyscraper district of Dubai Marina, move to the historic part of Dubai, to Dubai Creek. You can cross to the other side of the river on one of the traditional „abra“ boats for just a few euro cents (converted). After disembarking, you will find yourself in the winding streets of markets with spices, gold, and clothes. Historic „Old Dubai – Bastakia“ is the seat of the Dubai Museum, but also the village of historical heritage - Heritage Village.
