Travel to the Slovak Republic after November 26, 2020

– If you enter the territory of the Slovak Republic starting 26. November 2020, 7:00 a.m. and in the past 14 days you have visited a country that is not on the list of less risky (safe) countries, self-isolation or negative RT-PCR tests are needed.

Travel to the Slovak Republic after November 26, 2020

    • if you are travelling from an EU country and are asymptomatic, your self-isolation is completed after your 10-day self-isolation period is overeven if you do not obtain a negative RT-PCR test for Covid-19 disease. If you are travelling from a non-EU country (or you have visited such country in the past 14 days; a country that is not on the list of “safe countries”), you must stay in self-isolation until you obtain a negative RT-PCR test,
    • you are obliged to get tested for Covid-19 disease on the fifth day of your home isolation at the earliest,
    • home isolation is also mandatory for persons living with you in a common household,
    • you are also obliged to report by phone to Regional Public Health Office or electronically by registering (online) by filling-in the form and to your health care provider (i.e. to your general practitioner/pediatrician in case of children) with whom you have a valid health care contract.

During your stay in the territory of the SR, you are obliged to present a confirmation of the above registration via filling-in the form to the officer of the Police corps of the Slovak Republic.

If you enter the territory of the SR from the EU countries which are not on the list of safe (less risky) countries, alternatively, in addition to the above obligations of registration and self-isolation, it suffices to submit a negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19 disease performed by the laboratories outside the territory of the Slovak Republic not older than 72 hours from time of entry and at the same time:

  • there is no need to report to Regional Public Health Office,
  • there is not need to report to your health care provider, i.e. to your general practitioner (or pediatrician in case of children) with whom you have a valid health care contract.
