The number of flights in the past year increased by 4% - 25 690 aircraft movements. Cargo traffic at Bratislava Airport rose by 9% - 22 895 tones.

The double digit growth has been recorded in passenger number in 2016 – an increase by 12,3 %, plus 192 497 more passengers compared to 2015. Of this volume 1.335.007 pax were handled in scheduled transport (+24 %), 417.021 pax in non-scheduled transport (-14 %) and 4 780 pax in other transport (+1 %).

„Bratislava Airport handled more than 1.756m passengers in the past year. That is the significiant double digit growth by 12.3% and it is the record number in the last 8 years,“ said Bratislava Airport CEO Ivan Trhlik.

The strongest month was July when BTS Airport handled 257 814 pax - +2% more in comparison to 2015.
